This song is in response to the ongoing turmoil in Israel-Palestine as well as to the multiple types of extremism, propaganda, and polarization that have spread since October 7. Being a Jew in this moment, especially one who briefly lived there and has loved ones there on both "sides" has been a lot. So as usual, I turned to songwriting to process the grief, fear, and anger I have been carrying.
